Divx from TV

Is it possible to record a show from TV in the divx format. I want to create high quality(satellite) episodes of various shows. Is this possible? If so, how? I have aati all in wonder radeon and soundblaster audigy platinum. What would I need to do? Thanks for any help.

You wouldn't capture directly to divx. You would take whatever format your capture card supported (either mpeg or avi) and then converted it like any other mpeg or avi file. Look in the capture forum, its been discussed many times.
