In the Azid 1 screen, there is a section called Overall Output Configuration. There one can set Dynamic Compression and Gain, and check sommething called Auto Find Maximum Gain. When you check any of the other available options (in green letters) it makes a difference to the command line, but Auto Find Maximum Gain does not seem to do anything, even if a non-zero Gain figure is entered.

My questions are:

* Does Auto Find Maximum Gain in fact do what you would think it does - find the maximum gain for you?
* If not, what is the best way to find maximum gain for a movie audiotrack? (no clipping of course)

thanx

yeah, it finds the maximum gain and normalizes accordingly, no clipping. If you'd like to adjust it, you can put a gain factor in the -ota() part of it, something like -ota( -g 0.95 ) with the max gain azid checkbox will normalize your audio to 95%. You will be able to see this(the search for max gain and the gain that gets applied) in the dos window if that pops up, not sure, i don't use the GUI much.
