Please help !

I'm quite new to this lark. I'm ripping and burning DVD movies only, but about 3/4 of the way through the movie I get a picture jump. Is this anything to with the layer change.
How do I fix this problem.
I have burned 3 different movies, but they all have the same problem.
Any help would be much appreciated.
