How exactly to set chaptering points in cce 2.5?

So much talk about this issue in this thread, yet not a single visual illustration...
This gets me really frustrated!

Are there any illustration how this should be looked like, coz i got completly confused about this.
How the chapter drop down list should exactly look like?
When I paste frame number into edit box and press the set button, the entry in the dropdown reads like:

000000 xxxx

where xxxx the number inserted.
Do I have to set frame number in frame search edit box, coz when setting it, the zeros from above get replaced by the number from this edit box.

Any clues?
