I am looking for a site where I can find help using ReMPEG2. The program has worked pretty well most of the time, but I have one set of .VOBs that cause the program to crash every time, pretty much in th same place. I have tried re-ripping the DVD, ripping just the movie with IfoEdit, and then using ReMPEG2 to squeeze it down a little smaller, but to no avail.
I wanted to try using TMPGEnc, but the guide on this site starts out by saying "Start up TMPG and the the DVD2AVI (.d2v) project file as video source." What DVD2AVI video file? I know how to create a DVD2AVI project file for use in DivX encoding, but somehow I don't think I am supposed to do the same thing here (demuxing the AC3 track). The guide has no prior reference to any DVD2AVI project file, so the instructions are cryptic at best.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a better understanding of how to use either of these two programs, or suggest another program that might be better suited for the job of reducing a set of .VOBs to fit on a DVD-R?
