Hi guys, i hav a little prob
I try to rip evil dead..
Can someone tell me how to extract such an audio file
Stream[002] X=[[0xA0] Audio Deutsch LPCM(2Ch) 48kHz 16bit ] [] [] [] []
I tried Vob2Audio, but the Program can't find any audio track, DVD2AVI
can't extract the Audio track, and Besweet is also unable!
maybe there's a possibility to extract the Audio...Can u help me plz?
I guess this has been asked quite a many times. DVD2AVI should be able to demux that kind of soundtrack into a WAV file. Just select the right audio track (so not NONE as if you demux all) and set the type from Dolby to LPCM. That should do.
If you fail with that procedure download Graphedit from Doom9's site and register the included filters. Follow the guide that Doom9 provides for Graphedit. You also end up with a WAV file.
Have much fun!

By the way. I had horrible trouble to get the DVD2AVI demuxed LPCM in sync with my video (it was Buena Vista Social Club R 2). So after all I still had to use GraphEdit which is a very nice and handy tool once you managed to use it (but the guide is really good, thx Doom9).
Bye, bye.

i have almost the same problem. let me explain further...
About half a year ago a had a DVD in my hands which contained only DTS and LPCM sound. Since i didnt' had Surcode at that moment, i decided to extract LPCM. I selected track number 1, chanel format auto select and dolby digital demux. The d2v project came out together with another file of size 1.3 GB.
Well i can't seem to read it in any program. I tried graphedit, Soundforge, cooledit pro... and it doesn't seem to play at all. Could you direct me to a program which reads files and extract iformation about the type of the file...
Now that i am thinking it, maybe the stupid program demuxed DTS. Is that possible.....
P.S I dont have the DVD in my hands now so that i can rip it again with the ways that are described
1) Graphedit
2) DVD2AVI
3) Smartripper
I have posted once before on the same subject but the answer as you can see didn't had any results.

You really give me something like a headache...
Do you have the DVD or don't you have it? I really don't understand your P.S...
Do you have the VOBs on your harddisk? If so, you can really do the following:
Start up DVD2AVI, load your VOBs. So far, so good. Now really set in the Audio menu the track to the one that contains LPCM sound. You can find out by either playing your DVD in a software DVD player or you look into the INFO file that SmartRipper writes out. The first stream (0x80) is always your MPEG2 movie. So 0x81 should be your track 1 in the audio menu of DVD2AVI. It's important that you find out! The DTS is something like SDDS in the INFO file of SmartRipper as far as I know. Then if you know which track you want to demux choose exactly that one. Then set the type of your audio to LPCM and not auto. In the Dolby Digital menu choose demux!
Give it a try. You should end up with a WAV file with LPCM in the name. Try to play that in media player and post your results.
Alternatively to all that, try the GraphEdit guide. Now, if you don't have your VOBs that's really a problem. I wonder that you kept that 1.4 GB file. If you don't know what's in it, just have a look at the name... Try GraphEdit to render it. If that doesn't help I also cannot help you.

Well i don't have the VOBS as i explained above( not so well though ).
I just have a file that DVD2AVI demuxed when i created the d2v project file six months ago. From what i remember that version of DVD2AVi didn't support decoding LPCM since it didn't have an option for Linear PCM. Instead i chose AUTOMATIC DETECTION and DEMUX.
Maybe someone can direct me to a program which identifies sound files?

BeSweet v1.3RC now supports LPCM input files.

Many thanks to the developer of BeSweet.
I have rarely used BeSweet until now. Well for sure i'm going to use BeSweet much more often since i can see a lot of new features being added not only with this fresh new version but also with any new version which came out until now.
This one which enables LPCM input and another which makes AC3-->Mp3 on the fly are really useful.
