After a few more tests (please see thread http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24036) here are my conclusions:
It should be a DVD2SVCD problem, since I can open AVS files outside DVD2SVCD environtment.
You can see from my last post in thread above that both CCE and TMPGEnc are unable to open the AVI file through AVS file when called from DVD2SVCD. After that failure, and after close DVD2SVCD, I can open AVS file produced (by DVD2SVCD) from both encoders, and the conversion is made with problems.
The error message mentioned in that thread is the same I get if I delete original AVI file, causing AVISYNTH not to "see" it.
Is it possible that DVD2SVCD is "blocking" access to the file?
