hello

i'm trying to create a SVCD of the DVD "Blind Melon, Letters From A Porcupine" which has a running time of 2hrs 12mins.

the size of the complete ripped DVD is 4.32Gb

When i run SVCDtoDVD (latest ver) only 2 chapters are picked up.
one is 30mins and the other is 18mins.
when converted these files are only the Music video part of the original DVD. and the documentary footage is missing.

i have tried using Smart Ripper, VStrip but they both acheive the same result.

can you please help me find the solution to convert all the movie on the DVD please.
thx in advance

When you select the movie using the CD button under Conversion tab in DVD2SVCD, you will see the length of the movie. Click on the Down arrow and it will open up a dialog box which wil show you the chapters. In this dialog box click on the down arrow next to the length of the movie. Here select the actual movie and make sure you have internal ripping on. Also, in the new build if you move from Conversion tab to any other tab your settings will be lost. So, come to this tab after setting all the other options you want.

thanks for the reply Amit

the pulldown menu has 4 chapters in it. but only 2 of these chapters contain data. Chapter one is 18mins long , and chapter four is 30 mins long.

all the rip settings are correct as far as i can see. if i rip movies and mount with DVD2SVCD i get all the movie files.

has anyone ever come across "Blind Melon, Letters From A Porcupine" DVD ? and have they ever successfully converted the complete movie files?

could it be that part of the movie in some of the chapters is not in DVD format?

Recently I was making a copy of Sex and the City and I was having issues getting all the episods. I figured out that if you use the internal routines then it wont work correctly. If you use vstrip and then go back to the conversion tab you will be able to select all the episodes in the movie. In Sex and the City there was 1 .ifo file and it had all the info for all 6 episodes on the DVD. So try using vstrip and see how long each .ifo file is because there might be more then 1 length.
