VCD Easy errors

I have VCDEasy V1.0.9. I want to make .bin files out of SVCD files, but it never works

problem occurs in the bin creation process.

and thus the .bin in only about 10%-20% completed. I was fool the first time and burned the .bin file, which play well in my DVD player but only the first 15% of the content is on the disk.


This problem occurs in 4 different .mpg files I tested. They are all SVCDs. I watched 2 of them using powerDVD and they played flawlessly.

Any help is much appriciated

did you consider doing what the log told you to do?
consider enabling the 'update scan offsets' option, if it is not enabled already!

scandata I believe is the timeinfo it stamps on the mpg to enable the FF and RR buttons on your remote control. Good idea in vcdeasy to always let it analyze the mpg file for you.

OK I want to 'update scan offsets' but how do I do that? I don't see this magical checkbox anywhere

and VCDEasy does analysis the mpg for me before it makes .bin, no errors are given

ok, I found the option. But it doesn't help. Same error

Is there any other program that does can do similiar type of file convertion?

Any chance your mpeg files are damaged? Consider re-multiplexing your mpeg files. Use tmgenc's built-in mpeg tools to demultiplex and then multiplex using the appropriate svcd template - either with tmpgenc or bbmpeg.

ok, I just tried it.
Demultiplex works fine. But when I tried to remultiplex, I got this warning when the process completed:

"1 S packets cause bueffer underflow
The mpeg file might cause error when it played"

I played the mpg, it works fine except the last 5 min is cut off(well, at least it's better than VCDeasy).

Is there anything else I can do to it? Note that I can play the entire unmodify mpg in powerDVD

I tried to demultiplex again. This time I watched the process
Using tmpgenc, The video output terminated at 80%. I guess that's the problem. What could cause this to happen?

Edit: I minitored the original mpg. On the part where the demultiplex m2v was cut off, the screen shows a small twitch, for about 0.1 second. After that everything is fine

can I just take out that frame?
