Problem ripping Enigma - ReMPEG2 issue - please help

Please can anyone explain what I am doing wrong here. Trying to rip Enigma. Too big for one disc (5.2GB)

Used Smartripper to get the VOBS. Have stripped them as usual with Ifoedit. Ran VOBS through ReMPEG and got a 4.1GB m2v file. All good so far. Then I re-mux with infedit. All seems to work but at the end, I only seem to have 3 VOB files - about 2.5 GB. Needless to say, the VOBS are useless.

Any idea what I am doing wrong. Is it something to do with the directories the files are in and during the re-mux things are getting overwritten before they can be processed? If so, where should I have all the files?

I can't help you as to why you got those three vobs there, but I could tell you that if you used ReMPEG2 and you got a 4.1 gigs .m2v file, then once you add the audio to the video, it'll go over the limit again.

If you're having problems calculating the bitrate to reencode it with, and you don't wanna do any actual "hardcore" calculations, just do this:

1. use ifoedit to take out the sounds
2. subtract the size of the original vobs (video + sound) by the new ones (video). The result of this calculation is the size of your audio stream
3. subtract 4.37 gigs by your audio size. The result here is what you have left over for video, so let's say that in this case, your video size is 4.6 gigs, you'll be able to use 81% safely.

OK. Sussed it. My suspicians were corrent. The remux was overwriting files before it got to them. Needed to specify a clean directory!!
