What are the indications for the above - found in the new program under Tools, and what exactly are the steps in doing this? Thanks for your info.

Indication:
You want to copy a huge DVD, but don't want to use ReMPEG2 for transcoding.

So lets say, you like CCE for transcoding. Then you will need to re-author the DVD with Scenarist or Maestro or whatever.

Problem now: you want to keep the menu!
So copy VIDEO_TS.VOB and VTS_01_0.VOB (of the original DVD) to your authored project.
Open (your authored) VIDEO_TS.IFO and VTS_01_0.IFO with the new IfoEdit, choose 'Merge Menu Tables', and specify the original VIDEO_TS.IFO or VTS_01_0.IFO.
This will take all menu-related tables of the original IFO file, and put it in your new authored IFO file.

I'm not sure if every Menu-stuff will work correct. You have to check it out.
But it should work perfect for most of the titles.
