Hello,

The new version of WinSubMux (0.2.0.1), can it be used in DVD2SVCD 1.0.9 build 1 instead of WinSubMux 0.1.0.1?
And off course, is it better (I suppose so :) )

And a second question: I've got a P4 1.8Ghz, 256MB SDRAM, a GForce 3 and a 80 GB (7.200rpm) HD (2 partitions of 40GB).
When I encode a 1.5 hour movie it takes about 10 hours to do this.
Is this normal?
I'm using all the standard settings (I'm using CCE 2.5, multipass=4).

If this normal I wonder how long it takes on a P3 500 or so?

And another one: Yesterday I tried to fit a 90 min. movie to 1 800MB CD, this went perfectly.
I have read almost everywere in this forum (and guides) that this is not good.
Why is that?
I can hardly see any difference in quality on my TV.
I did lower the audio-bitrate to 128Kb/sec.

Tnx for any responses.

If the new version of WinSubMux is supported it will surly show up in the next release of DVD2SVCD.
Either you wait for that release or you test yourself.

Since 4 pass really mean 5 (one for the vaf creation) this makes your compression to 0.75. The time it takes does mostly depend on how many filter you activate.

I also have some long film on one CD and is satisfied with the quality. Probably this is doable because of your 4 pass
