hey mark, i happened to notice that youre a pats fan and i also notice that you said in a post that there are a lot of portuguese in your town. I lived in fall river (fah-riv) and worked in new bedford new-beige) for about a year. is this where youre from? just curious. its a great "neck of the woods" i wish i never left! falcor

I live outside Worcester(wista) and worked in Marlboro for years.
I actually grew up in Boston(Bawston), but left about 7 years ago to seek safer pastures as my neighborhood was getting really rough.

In Marlboro they speak more Spanish and Portuguese then english in some sections. Being from Boston I must admit I was a bit racist against Spanish speaking people. Mostly because of many run-ins with people just as racists as I was against me, but when I started working in Marlboro it was so different. Everyone was so nice. Maybe it was because of where they were from since most were from Argentina and Brazil.

I am being forced to move soon. I was laid off from EMC a year ago and cannot find any work that pays more then $6 an hour.
I am most likely moving to Florida since I have family down there and it is cheaper to live. I plan on coming back though, because I like to too much up here.

cool man. i mean not the relocation part and all but you could do worse than florida. beantown has gotta be one of my fave cities in the US and i've been to a bunch. i grew up in NYC and of course love it but i always thought of bosco as a smaller cleaner NYC. well hey man thanks for sharing. hopefully all will go well with your move and you wont be leaving the forum. ;) falcor
