dvd2svcd 1.09b1 - i-author support not working ?

Okay here is what I tried, I ripped as usual
for 2x740CDR and ticked I-author and let DVD2SVCD run over night.

In the morning the log didn´t show anything about I-author
it straightly used bbmpeg and VCDImager... no demuxing no I-author.

Now I tried to crash recover this (I-Author radio still ticked)
same procedure as above...

Then I tried to recover with force I-Author.... same result.

Then I tried to recover with DVD2SVCD 1.08b1 with I-Author but there was no radio not even when putting the force parameter in the .ini
so it looks like 1.08 doesn´t like 1.09 files and 1.09 doesn´t do the I-Author thing.


hmmm, wasn´t this meant to be fixed ? *g*
Okay the radio button is fixed but it is pointless, reminds me to the 3D-graphics button in monkey island 3 ;-)

1. Load the project file (recover)
2. Then make the change to I-Author.

Not the other way around.

but when I load the project then it is already set to I-author even if DVD2SVCD has been closed and re-launched before

and then ... as said, it also doesn´t work when starting the whole project with i-author set :(

I did test this Version and it still did not work. The only "workaround" was, select I-Author and do a crash recovery.

Another thing about I-Author: The "Change CD Picture" does not work. The "Title" is fine so.

sorry to bug you again. I just did two complete new tests with one DVD chapter and Version 1.0.9b2 pre2. And again, VCDImager was used, despite I-Author was selected (no subs where selected, too).

The created .ini looks ok to me:

I did the following tests:
(Complete uninstall done before Version changes)

Version 1.0.8b1, Authoring: I-Author: works
Version 1.0.9b1, Authoring: I-Author: does not work (VCDImager is used)
Version 1.0.9b2re2, I-Author: does not work (VCDImager is used)
Version 1.0.9x, with a subtitle selected: works

For myself, I can stick with the 1.0.8 Version because it works for just fine for me. I am just wondering what causes it to fail on my machine.

And: "Change CD Picture" does not work at all for me when using I-Author. Works fine when using VCDXBuild. This is really not important, just would like to share what I found out while testing...

Maybe someone can confirm my test results.

I hate it when I am convinced of something and I later discover that I was wrong. C_S, you are completely right, the thing I did, only fixed it for Crash Recovery, not when doing a complete encode, sorry.
