View Full Version : Problem w/ Warner Bros. DVDs
Has anyone had a problem transcoding Warner Bros. DVDs. All their DVDs I tried transcoding with Rempeg end up with shierking and the quality is unacceptable even at only 90% reduction. I tried searching the forum about this and there was a mention about angles but it did not really elaborate. Please Help. Thank you.

I was able to transcode Three Kings with ReMPEG2 at just fine, the video quality was good and all, but after remuxing with IfoEdit I got synch problem starting at the original layer change point.

Someone sure needs to post a fix for some of these Warner DVD's. It will have to be someone smarter than me

Have a better look. There are a few posts regarding this problem on this forum. You have to strip out the first WB logo before using REMPEG.

Well, there are two logos. One is a fullscreen WB home video logo, and the other is a widescreen WB. I stripped out the first one since it has a different VobID, but the second one has the same VobID as the main movie.
Because the video quality is still good, I don't think the problem is with the low bitrate of the logo like stated in the other posts, but rather the remux process with IfoEdit. After remuxed, the video pauses for like half a second in the middle of the movie (the original layer change point) causing synch problem after that. I did play the resulted m2v file from ReMPEG; no pauses there. That's what's so intriguing.
