Selecting the audio on a DVD with no menu

I have been using IfoEdit to remove menus and extra to fit the movie on a DVD-R . When striping out the audio I have been taking the dolby digital. If I want to keep the DTS and Dolby how will I select what audio I want if the DVD has no Menu?

I assume you're re-authoring since you say there is no menu. I have put two audio streams on a title in DVD Maestro before with no menu to select. You can simply switch between the different audio streams during playback by using the "Audio" button on the DVD player. It should cycle through the different audio streams available.

Ok, I just re-read what you put and understand what you're saying now. My answer still applies though. If your IFO's have the correct info for the different audio streams available, you should be able to switch between them with the audio button feature on your DVD player.

I tried it on one of my players but all it would do is switch from stereo to right, left, then back to stereo. Maybe I need a better player?

I rip the DVD, use IfoEdit to strip the unused menus, audio and extras. Then I burn it to DVD-R.

Hmm... how's it listed in your IFO? What does your "Title Set (Movie) Attributes" list for the audio in your movie's IFO? I must admit I may not be the best person to help you. I haven't really had a need to strip audio files using IFOEdit. It almost sounds as if your rip dumped the different channel tracks into audio stream selections. Not sure how or why though. Your DVD player's "audio" button should simply cycle through the different audio streams available during playback.

Well you simply change the audio stream with the audio button on your remote-control.
The player should also show you the language and the audio type (DD/DTS).

But before burning, make shure the audio-stream switching is not prohibited in the IFO file and the VOB files;)
