Found a bug in ac3-decoding of besweet, azid doesn't have! How can this be?
I'm used to split DVD-rips while ripping with Smartripper into 2 parts, this splitting is done chapter-accurate.
Problem: The second ac3s cannot be decoded, an error occurs that file are not readable.
BUT AZID WORKS!! When i use it as i did before everything works correct, movie is perfect sync.
WHY?
Thanks

looks like the ac3 stream was splitted inside a frame.
since you didn't post your logfile, i can only assume that you got Error 59 (Failed to sync to payload's start position).
this error is raised by BeSweet and not by Azid, 'cause azid simply ignores this error.
i have decided not to ignore this kind of error.
anyway, you can easily fix the second stream, using BeSplit v0.4 .

YES, this was my error code, I have just forgotten the correct line, but I recognized it in your posting. Well, is there anyway to make it work without besplit? I mean, a switch in besweet or something like that? Since it's sync in azid, this shouldn't cause a problem to the transcoding.

(at least) the first frame is broken (if you had run BeSplit, we would know exactly how much bytes are useless).
anyway, i might change BeSweet's default behavior to ignore sync issues.

Well, the ac3-file get written by mpeg2avi, but i also tried to split the ripped vob with vstrip, same problem. So it must be a problem of Smartripper, doing the cut not correct, I'm even quite sure, that the problem is there, since the video is sometimes green for half a second on the second part of a DVD-rip.
anyway, the small broken frame has no effect on sync-issues in azid.
So such an option to ignore sync issues, would be great in besweet.
Actually, I'm thinking of ripping a DVD in one file, and split the movie at the end in Oggmux, but this tool is not keyframe-accurate at the moment.
BTW,do you know if there is a better GUi for vstrip than the original one? I think this tool is better for splitting DVDs on ripping but the tool is really hard to set up.
