I have noticed that some of you are having issues with A/V synch when combining double sided DVD's or 2 Disc DVD sets. In my normal going through and reading the readme files of many of the programs when I install a new version of DVD2SVCD I came across this bug report in the DVD2AVI readme that I had not remembered seeing. This will explain the source of the problem, but will not offer a fix.
* Known Bugs *
1. DVD2AVI only aligns the start point of A/V streams.
If the movie is not encoded at once that PTS restarts (such as bonus track or different episodes) It's possible to lose synchronization from the break point.
In short if you are having A/V synch issues and have already checked for the possibility that a chapter of no length exhists and this is not the cause then it seems it is a bug in DVD2AVI and there is no easy solution. You will end up having to do the discs as different encodes.
