i've converted a divx5 ac3 avi file to svcd using d2s
when i view the svcd in windvd, about half way through, i get this error message on the screen.....
**********************************
Avisynth: caught an access violation at 0x11612c59, attempting to write to 0xfffffff2
**********************************
the audio keeps playing but there's no video!
when i play it on my stand-alone, there's still sound, but no video and no error message!?
anyone know if this has been a problem with d2s?
or experienced a similar problem and fixed it?
Try recoding with the new build 1.0.9b1. It has fixed this problem since it conatins the latest verion of Avisynth.dll

tried 1.0.9b1 - still no success!
as it's only happened recently, decided to try an older version so re-installed 1.0.7b1. now no problems!
must be a bug, or something, in the latest avisynth!
@ lazi_dave trie to uninstall d2s that you have installed then install the last bundle one and after one more over the other, it should fix that problem, because it seams that the avisynth was not properly registered . one other thing your encoding whent very fast right ? ( with the error ). this whorked with me but i dont use win98, only win200 and wp.

Many people are reporting problems with DVD2SVCD after they have installed Divx5. Nobody seems to know where the problem is. All that is known is that Divx5 causes Avisynth many problems.
Some people are having no issue at all though.
If you can, convert the Avi to Divx4 and uninstall Divx5 and see if that was your problem.
If you are getting an Avisynth error then most likely it has been installed fine. This error is generated within Avisynth.
Unfortunately you may never be able to get this to work as long as you have Divx5 installed. Let's hope the issue is found and fixed wherever it happens to be.

cheers - i'll un-install divx5 and try again.
btw - why would 1.0.7b1 work with divx5 still installed?

It could be many reasons.
The AVS script might be different and maybe less stressful.
It might have nothing at all to do with what I was suggesting.
It might be that it works sometimes and you got lucky.
