I tried a search and couldn't find anyting on this. It seems I'm loosing the first second or half second of the movies I'm encoding. So far I've tried anime and Baz's Romeo + Juliet. The video and audio are in sync, I just seem to have cut off the first second or so. Any ideas? Thanks! Using 1.0.8 build 1 on Athlon XP/Windows XP/Pioneer 106s.

Now that you mention it... I've noticed the same issue on the DVD's I've encoded with DVD2SVCD. I went back and looked at:
Star Wars Episode I - Phantom Menance and Blade Runner. They both start into the Film Studio title banner. As you say about .5 to 1 second missing.

Sorry I can't tell you why...

At least your audio is in sync. I've made quite a few where the Audio is not in-sync. There seem to be many posts relating to the sync of audio and video. I wonder if this problem with missing sec at the beginning is another symptom of the root cause of other audio and video sync issues that seem to so commonly crop up?

Here's hoping we find the missing audio/video...

Cheers,
kd

So the movie offset in the bbMpeg tab will fix the sync issues or the loosing a second off the beginning problem? Sorry, still a little confused : )

The movie offset in the BBMpeg tab fix just the problem of the lost seconds at the beginning of the movie.

if movie offset=0 you won't loose a second.

this has been covered previously, btw
