First of all I want to thank DVD2SVCD for his selfless engagement and work to make all us users happy and satisfied. Also the moderators, markrb, ddogg, mozart to name a few.
Nevertheless I have to mark out an important hint for all people (and newbie's like myself) before trying out this new release 1.0.9. I hope you many guys out there allow a relative new member of your community to speak frankly.
One of the new features of this release is the use of WinSubMux 0.1.0.1 by our dear friend and creator new_age. Under Win98, there are problems with this piece of software. It has to do with the memory management of this OS. I have three different computers with Win98 and all of them stuck while muxing the subs. It seems, that it depends on the amount of subtitles used during the film. Only one DVD's out of four could finish without an error. New_age told me, that in a new version of WinSubMux this problem would be gone.
So all of you users of subtitles under Win98. If you encounter problems e.g. crashes while submuxing, use submux instead of winsubmux until this problem has been fixed. Just ignore the sometimes appearing "underlines" in the subtitles, its not that bad.
Carry on, all you wonderful people, you really do a great job !!!
