I have been using Gknot for a couple of months now and am fairly familiar with the program. I have it installed on 3 different computers, but am having a very strange problem with one machine:
I usually go for 2 X 700 Mb CD's for size and try to achieve a bit rate around 1300.
After the bitrate and resolution settings are complete I go to the preview window and choose my final options, which are very basic.
On both the audio 1 tab and the DivX 4 tab, I have unchecked "re-calculate bit rate"
My problem is that when the encoding job is done by Virtualdub, the bit rate is always set to something around half of what I set in GKnot. The file size is also roughly half of what I set in Gknot.
I cannot seem to get the bit rate I want and its driving me CRAZY
Gknot performs fine on my other 2 installations.
Has anyone seen this problem before?
