View Full Version : Chapter Points In LOTR

Does anyone have a list of chapter points and their timecode to set up indices in Lord Of The Rings?
I haven't seen it yet, I have my whole project ready to burn to DVD, except my chapter points are just every 10 minutes. i would like them to make sense, since many of you have done this, i thought maybe you could do a chapter extractor file, xcel or word file that could help point me in the right direction.
Also, I saw that blind voyeur was doing a guide (forum topic My LOTR project is almost finished),for maestro but it never came out. Anyone else have any Maestro guides, as the one here is rather tough to customize to your own projects.
Anyone have a clear understanding of COLORMAPS, and how you apply them to a particular project? The guide mentions "you only need to worry about black and white", but is that because his subpicture buttons are black? I don't understand the 1-4 maps, and what they are referring to.
Anyhelp would be appreciated. a helpfile for maestro, or a PDF guide would be even more appreciated.
TIA,
Corky

Hi Corksucker ,
Wouldn't mind a copy of that myself, I'm in exactly the same situation.

Why don't you just put them where they seem most viably applicable to the storyline based on your personal tastes??? There is no right or wrong....

I whish I could to that when I made my LOTR DVD but there was no way to get a correct preview in maestro because of the svcd format (in the movie timeline). The preview works fine if you make a play.
Anyway, I was compelled to use myflix to find the correct chapters! :(

If you could just post the test file into a reply, that would be awesome !

Amirkhan,
I agree with fletch, if you could do an extraction with Chapter Extractor and post it here. I would be appreciative.
Thanks,
Corky
