I have a list of timecodes of my chapters. To make menus I need some way to get frames out of mpeg file and put them into bmps. Of course I could frameserve dvd2avi into vdub and cut&paste into photoshop but that's quite a lengthy process coz I number of chapters can be about 40 shots.

Is there a tool to make it easear?

Thanks

Not sure if there is a good way. In the past, I've done it in Maestro by editing the chapter point. There is an option to save it as a BMP file. Of course, it's a manual "Photoshop" process from there. That's the way I started off doing the menus for my "24" series recordings. After doing two that way with only 12 chapters each, I decided to leave the chapter selection menu off of my projects altogether. It's a serious pain in the ass!

I noticed in issue #190 of PC Plus (UK), there is a software round-up of DVD authoring software suites.

I reply back once I've read it.
