hi all

Does the audio volume of the extracted wav (dvd2avi 1.86) depends on the sound card (or some other hardware) ?

When I save a project in my computer, the volume of the WAV file is very very low and I have to maximize the volume in Goldwave, and when my friend use dvd2avi on his computer (different hardware) he has a normal audio volume (normalize is not checke in both computers)

thanks in advance,

No, the audio decoding is only done by the CPU, no use of the sound card.
But two differents sound card can have differents volume output.

DVD2AVI extracts audio always at 48 KHz (except with 44.1 resample activated). Not all sound boards support this.

In DVD2AVI menu audio -> Dolby Digital -> Dynamic Range Control -> *OFF*
If you want the sound louder, then set to normal or heavy (not recommended)

This works only on DVDs that support different sound profiles.
