DVD9 2 DVD5 but it's jerky :(

Hi

I've tried to bring a PAL-DVD9 to an normal DVD-R and I followed exactly the steps of the "IfoEdit"- and "TMPG for IfoEdit"-guide. Everything works fine, menus, chapters, audio and subs, but the movie starts to jerk at the position where VTS_01_2.VOB startet at the DVD9 - now this scene is a part of VTS_01_1.VOB because of the encoding. I think, it's a problem of IfoEdit, but I'm not shure.

Any suggestions?

Invest some bucks to get good media's.

I didn't burn them. The jerks are in PowerDVD and in the IfoEdit-Player...

BTW, there are no jerks if I view the m2v-File from TMPG...

Now I tried to re-encode with ReMPEG2 - this works fine, no jerking. But the quality of the ReMPEG2-files is not the best, so if everyone discovers a way for TMPG, I would be very thankful...

The bad ReMpeg-quality makes me realy sad...

I can encode the Video with TMPGEnc to half the size of the original files without any qualety losses. Isn't there a way, to import this settings into ReMpeg2?

If someone want to test my settings:

Constant Qualety = 78, max. bitrate = 8000 kbit/s, min. bitrate = 0, matrix-settings = 32 in every box (biside the box with the 8), encoding = interlaced.

Test it yourself, you will see that it's much better than ReMpeg2!
