Dvd2svcd tricked ?

Hello,

I encountered the following problem when i converted a dvd to svcd:

movie: swordfish
ripper: smartripper 234

the svcd doesn't start with the movie but
trailer, interview, movie

with flaskmpeg i discovered that this is the order in
vts02_1.vob

Strange effect is that the audio does start with the movie.
So audio en movie are out of sync (20 minutes)

specifically the first thing I would do in your case is do what the guide says and not use anything but the built-in ripping routines.

welcome to the forum. as a newbie naturally you read all the guides, q&a's and stickies you could find. you will have noticed that the best way to rip is to use dvd2svcd's internal ripping method. this prevents a lot of problems from happening.

i suggest you try this first. then read this carefully:

Because of your forum rules violation (1, 1a) I have to give you your first Strike so please make sure to read them again the have to be followed because they're also there for a special reason.

A search with "swordfish AND audio" would have revealed quite some threads on that issue - it's not new in here. ;)

So please read a bit on that, make sure you use the latest version of DVD2SVCD (1.0.8 Build 1) and use the "internal routines" for ripping - because you will only get help if you have tried them at first - I bet the issues will go away then. ;)

Oops, that happens if you answer the phone first after moving a thread - so my reply was a little late. But seems we all had the same intension on that. But now it really looks like a little "administration" overkill. :)
