Hi,
I have a dvd which is only 69 Mb too big for a dvd-r after removing unnecessary bits. It also has a huge vts_01_0.vob (over 300 meg) which contains a 30 second movie clip before showing the menu. Is there any way to get rid of this but still keep the menu?
Thanks
Glenn

I'm not totally sure and am very inexperienced with DVD creation, but since you've had no replies, I'll take a stab...
I presume that the vts_01_0.vob would have a different cell ID for clip, which maybe you could deselect/remove in IFOedit or a Vob editor
Maybe this reply could get the attention of the more experienced users.
I'm pretty new at this but hopefully I can help.
Step 1. Load your VTS_01_0.vob file into VOBrator (http://www.pc-magazin.de/common/dtt/download.php3?) and play each VOB id's to decide which one contain the menus that you wish to keep and which ones you do not need.
Step 2. Load your VTS_01.0.ifo file into IfoEdit and from the VOB extra's menu select 'Strip VOB-IDs'. After entering a destination directory for your stripped VOB click okay and within the window that opens check the VOB ID's that you wish to retain and click on Strip it.
As you have already removed the 'unnecessary bits' I presume that you already know how to use IfoEdit and hopefully these instructions will be easy to follow.
Further details about VOBrator are available on this site...
