Identifying the correct VOB ID

Using DVD decrypter I am having trouble choosing the vob id's that contain the main movie, is there a method for this or program that shows how?

There are quite a few guides on this site on dvd decrypter depending on which version you are using. But I believe that you simply choose the first ifo file and it selects the appropriate vobs for you.

i was (am) of the impression that the largest vob id file is the one that contains the film. if i am wrong, i do humbly submit myself for public flogging by a very attractive phillipino woman;)

By default DVD Decrypter automatically selects the main movie files. If not, look in the 'edit' menu. In there you will see an option to do so. 'Select Main Movie Files'.
