Would it be possible to include in the Misc tab an option to start DVD2SVCD from encoded files (audio and video) ?
When encoding a movie, the most time consuming part is the first one (ripping, audio compression and video encoding). This takes between 80 and 90 % of the total DVD2SVCD processing time. In case of issues with the result, in most of the cases people modify parameters after these steps, trying alternative muxing, cutting, authoring parameters. It would be extremely nice, after having run a first DVDS2VCD session up to the end with keep all files enabled, to have the possibility to :
. start a new session of DVD2SVCD, with all settings and files up to and including video encoding assumed to be left unchanged by the user (easy to understand that changes would mess up the process).
. allow the user to modify all the settings after video encoding in the DVD2SVCD menu.
. rerun DVD2SVCD starting from compressed audio and encoded video files and the newly defined parameters.
Personally, I have a low end PC configuration (PIII-450) and a full DVD2SVCD run takes about 30 hours for a 2 hours movie. This new feature would cut my trials down to a few hours, when having issues with the final result (which I am currently facing !). Browsing this forum, I am sure I am not the only one that would be happy with this feature.
If any manual workaround exist to do the same thing, I am equally happy. Thanks in advance for your considering this request.
