I signed it, but I don't think it will have a great effect on politics. We're approaching the next election and anything that could be understood to be harmful for the economy will not even be considered by the competitors.

If, however the government really considers saving the right of private copies, I guess this consideration will soon be forgotten at the opening of a new Sony plant in Eastern Germany...

Eastern Germany - the only place where graduated computer scientists can stay jobless (unless they go west); why is it so unattractive for IT companies to go east, isn't it enough that they still get sponsored by the government, and that the workers are still less paid, more than 12 years after the great german reunion?!?
