Turning to cap.-mode in preview-mode

....and the picture freezes (is already frozen).
I´ve got this problem with VD and VirtualDub-VCR from www.virtualdub.net.

Asking some friends - the same problem.
Regardless of OS (Win98 SE or Win ME) or graphicboard (ATI Radeon / Geforce DDR).

The only thing I can do so far is to start VD in Overlay Modus and then switch to Preview. This works fine - I also "hide during capture", but thats not a main problem for my TB 1900.

But with VD VCR I only should start the PC and the application should be able do do the rest on its own (even power down the PC after capture).

I was thinking about "winbatch" to try to solve the problem.
(...but I´m totally untalented)

So, does anybody knew more about this specific problem?:confused:

BTW: The only thing I can think off: My Graphicboard and my WinTV share the same IRQ...
I also wrote to the author of VD-VCR (maybe he could implement "my" workaround)

I have a WinTV PCI and I experience the same. I don't think it's VDub's fault because the WinTV drivers are crap.
I've had so many problems with WinTV drivers and capture programs / vcr programs / descrambler programs that I'm really glad I don't need to start audio-initialization progs to get the audio (which I had to, using older drivers...)
Maybe it's not Hauppage's fault and it's the Brooktree chipset, but that doesn't help us either...

Thankyou - for making me feel nt alone anymore :p

I tried to stick the WinTV card in every other slot but my OS (WIN98SE) always "suggest" IRQ 11, which is the same that the Radeon is using.

I think I´ve to override OS by BIOS (But I don´t like to - whats the reason to have a plug ´n play OS then?)

I´ll let you know if there´ll be a workaround or a real solution.
