hello, a friend of mine has a problem. hes capturing with virtual dub and capturing works pretty fine so far. when i view the captured avi file video and audio are good quality and in sync, but after encoding to vcd with tmpegenc theres like 10sec of audio, then no audio for 20-30min and then the audio comes back and is totally out of sync. that all for a like 45min long avi.
we already tried converting the sound to mp3 to see if tmpeg can handle it better but no effect.
our capture settings are:
huffyuv (best) 352x288
pcm audio (16bit 44100hz cd qual)
tx for any help.

I've never had this problem, but since nobody else has offered any info, I'll try to help. First I would try using DVD2SVCD to convert - it's not just for DVDs any more! If you don't have it, download from http://gknot.doom9.org/D2S108B1.exe and install. Start it up, click the Misc tab, click the AVI2SVCD radio button, and look through the resultant tabs/options to convert. That should fix your problem, but you could also try demuxing then remuxing the whacked mpg you got from tmpeg.
