We don't want any warez here, either if you OFFER them or ASK for them.

By being overprecise with some words from the rules instead of understanding and reading them correctly, you show that you give a shit upon our little community.

We are doing more or less professional stuff here and can't accept your attitude, and I think I can write that whole-heartedly for the whole moderation team.

I really don't give a rats ass that you publish my PM answer, but I am sure that the other moderators wont like it and I know Doom9 wont let this pass. You say you have other forums to go to, by all means go there, let them take care of you. As I have said before, this forum has no room for the likes of you. :angry:

I think you got that backwards.

As for not knowing it was forbidden to PM a moderator, that indicates you did not fully read and comprehend the forum rules.
As for the semantic debate over warez, others have made it clear that we do not wish to deal in warez, cracks, hacks, or serials in any form. Knowing that, you should try elsewhere. The information is out there, on a site that, if indexed, has a short life span.

I agree with you: it is my fault for not having read thoroughly the rules.Mine was not a semantic debate - I personally did not solicit or offer WAREZ STUFF, merely pointed out the double- standard attitude of some members.Surely that is legit.I too am against a flame war- the TWO sides involved should make a truce- but using a civilised language.

In my 40 years of experience in real wars, I know there are no real winners or losers in most conflicts.So why not let us be "wise rather than right". Some people never get the point. There are dozens of places all over the web to get and trade warez. They come and go every day. (they always go) Why do we need one more?

This is a really good forum where there are some smart people who have done some extensive digging into the subject of VCD, SVCD, DVD, DivX, and video in general. Where else can you bang ideas around with folks like Derrow, trbarry, mpucoder, robshot, dividee, doom9, and a whole group of others like them?

The point of this forum, at least to me, isn't trying to save a couple of bucks ripping off a copy of TopGun -- it only costs $16.00 for Christ's sake... How long would it take to make up the hundreds of hours, $4.00 a disk for blanks, and $400 you spent on the DVD Burner?

The interesting part is getting to know the technology, understanding the ins-and-outs, finding a better way, looking at some really good code, discovering a really killer method, and meeting a new challange head on. It is the satisfaction that Robshot must have felt when he proved to those dumb-ass bastards that a DVD-5 can hold a high quality film when you do it right.

To those who want to turn this into a warez forum, please don't go away mad... just go away.
