Yes you can now play home-made CD in DVD format containing uncompressed stereo PCM up to 96kHz/24bit music in a standalone DVD player. I have modified one that now is capable of playing DVD Video smoothly with the miniDVD format. The miniDVD I mentioned is not those containing MPEG4 DivX contents. It is standard DVD Video that is burned into a CD-R instead of a DVD-R. (Ulead DVD Picture Show is such kind of authoring software). It is a breakthrough that some of the new low-priced DVD Player now available on the market can accept miniDVD just like it's a DVD-R! Please take a look over my webpage on this topic.
