Can ifoedit be used to remove trailers?

I have read the faq & guides but I still cannot achieve what I am trying to do.

I was wondering if it is possible to use ifoedit to change the start postition on a DVD to after the language selection and trailers.

ie Scary Movie does not quite fit onto a DVD-R but I expect without the trailers and foreign sub titles & audio I expect it would.
When Scary Movie starts you get an initial menu to choose your language, followed by the trailers. Next is what I would like to be my start point with the second menu in English giving you the option to view the extras,chapter select or play the movie.

Rather than just ripping the movie I am hoping to retain most of the extras and was wondering if it is possible and if so how?:confused:

As I previously stated I have read the faq & guides. I can rip just the movie or remove certain streams such as foreign subtitles and audio.

The problem being that each of the trailers has its own VOB file and I cannot find anything informing me how to create a movie whilst skipping these unwanted VOBs. If I just delete the unwanted VOBs (even after going through the process of using 'Get VTS sectors' on the remaining VOBs) I just end up with a Video_ts folder which won't play because it is still looking for the removed VOBs !!!

If you read the guide on using smartripper you would see you can remove these vobs at the beginning. Then strip the audio and video x-cess using ifoedit finally create new ifos using ifoedit. Better yet visit derrow's and mpu coders site and read the guide on creating a movie with no menu. Hang in and keep reading.Keep reading the answers are in the guides.

To do want you want, you have to learn about how DVD navigation is performed and then you will have to modify one or more .ifo files to point to the new starting position after you've stripped out the stuff you dont want and deleted unnecessary title sets.

I can't give you an exact answer because I don't have the DVD your working on. It's going to take a lot of trial and error until you get comfortable with what your doing. Just make backup's of your original .ifo & .bup files before you start making the changes.
