DVD2SVCD speeds

Hello people. I am interested to hear
what kind of speeds people get to encode
a 2 hour (or 1.5 hour) DVD into SVCD.

I am interested in order to compare
different hardware configurations and
different software that are available.

For example, i'd like to understand if
there are differences between different
versions etc.

Here, a 2 hour movie with 4 pases on CCE 2.50 encodes in 5.5 hours, at x1.670.
