iMovie to DivX?

Does anyone know of any way (or the best way) to convert an iMovie project to DivX?

You can't encode the iMovie project file to Divx. Instead, in iMovie, export the movie to DV file. Then if you are using windows, download the Panasonic DV codec. Open up Virtuldub and encode to xvid, divx5 or whatever.

That's the general way. For specifics, read Doom9's guides (for Divx encoding) and search the forum (for "panasonic" under the capture forum for specifics on that), or ask some more questions (maybe more specific), we'll try to help.

P.S: I am also doing the same thing as you (expect I am exporting from Final Cut Pro). Encoding DV in windows is new for me too.
