I am trying to create an avi with the first audio track being a 128 kbps VBR Mp3 and the second track being a 96 kbps ac3. At the moment I have a video file with no audio, and the two audio tracks seperately. When I try to do this in Nandub, it doesn't let me select the second track. Is this because I can't put two different types of audio tracks in one video file?
How else can i do this other than in Nandub?

It is no problem to multiplex any type of audio in NanDub
You must be doing something wrong, I tested that and it works flawlessly.
May I ask how come you have a 96kbps AC3!?

The ac3 is the original DVD audio for the director's commentery (i was also quite surprised at it being 96 kbps).
I've tried using Nandub again: if i try to have the first stream as the mp3 and the second stream as the ac3, i get a file with only the mp3.
If u try to have the first stream being the ac3 and the second stream being the mp3 i get a file with both streams, but which crashes wmp6.4 on loading and crashes Power DivX 3.12 if i try to change to the second track.
Any ideas?

Hmm... may be because of the AC3 being Mono
Then convert your AC3 to mp3 and you won't have problems any more

The ac3 is stereo.
I know i can always fall back on encoding it to mp3, but that seems a bit pointless and will result in quality loss (and i'm not looking to reducec the filesize since it's already at 96 kbps).

Well, you may use BSPlayer to switch the audio streams, if that also doesn't work, you don't have another solution I think: go for mp3, the quality loss will be unnoticable, especially with a cheap director commentary stream!

I tried using BS Player and it works fine now without me needing to re-encoded the audio, thanks!
It seems like quite a nice player too.

oh yeah, that's right, I like that player very much, I only use this one. And I put a Pioneer DVD Skin on it, it looks pretty cool! :D
