I have a DivX movie that spans two disks and uses AC3 audio. I am trying to convert it to SVCD format for viewing on my set-top player and TV, but I am having a few problems.
I started out by loading the DivX file in VirtualDub and "Save WAV", renaming it to AC3 when it was done. I then opened the AC3 in HeadAC3he for conversion and downsampling to a 44.1kHz stereo WAV file. Everything worked great for the first disk. No problems at all.
When I tried the second disk I ran into some problems... I did the same thing with the second DivX file, "Save WAV" appeared to work fine. When I loaded the AC3 file into HeadAC3he, it gave me an error that the file might be corrupt and it refused to convert to WAV. Now, when I watch the second disk (original DivX) in WMP 6.4 (with audio filters installed), it plays just fine and the audio works as expected. Whoever did the rip cut the credits, and I am wondering if the chopped AC3 stream is what is causing the problem (although the first half of the chopped movie works fine for me).
Does anyone know of a way around this problem? Is there a way to "fix" the AC3 file, or at least fake some app into thinking it's fixed?
