Best Quality Playback ???

I want to capture DV via a Firewire card and want the end result to end up on a DVD-R(W)(or CD-RW if I have to) for playback in a standalone DVD player.

What format do I need ?

I asume your talking about the video, you need mini dvd if you have a dvdR or (s)vcd guid if you dont (not that you can't put vcd onto dvd but you might as well get the best compatibility)
