Personally, and at least for winamp, I tried both of them(long time ago...) and I think (hear :D) that MAD is a bit better, so for me (and my ears) MAD is my choose.

/Excuse me the *baby* grammar i'm not English-user

I love SM, right :) You seem to be the first one to understand the source of my nick.

You chose the MAD one, does that mean you use the elecard-dekoda or another one with mad-library?

@Chibi Jasmin
I like too SM ;)

Well, I download and try Odio Dekoda: (and make odio-things :D)

When play an audio of 24Khz in movie and seek the audio go off-sync
(anyway why 24KHz? :D) in 44 and 48 sometimes when seek the audio go off :(

And for quality really i don't hear too much diference, may be a bit crisp but no more, anyway, i can't use a better audio sistem yet...
i gonna try when i could and post the changes!

I doubt that. Since MAD is GPLd, Elecard would be forced to release the sources of their directshow filter. And I never founf these sources, or GPL licensing information (the virotic licensing behaviour).

There are two filters from Elecard, both available for free download from http://www.elecard.com/download/
Odio Dekoda - Audio Mpeg Layer 2/3/AC3 decoder
MPEG Layer III Audio Encoder - Audio Mpeg Layer 3 Encoder based on Lame source code

How do I install the filters?
