Can anyone point me to a good video capture site or sites that have good comparisons of different hardware capture cards, methods and software?
I am a total noob on this and would like to start getting into it.
I know about the video cards that have capture abilities built in, but I am thinking I would rather have a seperate solution and can spend up to $300-$400 on the card.
At this point I am mostly looking for the hardware to figure out what I want. I am reading the VCDhelp pages now, but are there any others I should look at as well.
At this point I am thinking about AVI capture then converting to mpeg on my own rather then directly capturing to mpeg. My source will be NTSC video from broadcast and Laserdisc both analog.
Yes I did do a search, but many of the sites found were gone or did not include current equipment.
