Sorry if this has been covered already. I started a two cd rip about 7 hours ago (will take about 15 hours per pass), but forgot to bump the crosspoint up accordingly, which is still set a bit lower for 1cd rips. I know - ooops!
Will it have any impact on the final avi if I just set the crosspoint to a more reasonable level after the first pass is complete and I'm starting the second pass? Or should I stop Nandub now, set the crosspoint, and start the first pass again.
forgive my ignorance

It is best to set all your options the way you want for both passes. I woudl set it and all the motion curve compression stuff before the first pass. It couldn't hurt :)
Also...I would not recommend koepi's settings of like 25% for MBCM and for curve compression. I always keep them at near 0. Usually 0-10%. If you don't high motion may not get a high enough bitrate

thanks, I thought as much and decided not to chance it - canned the session and started over -- still don't know if it made any difference - it was simply in my haste to get out of the house for work that I forgot this step.
I've done films that have looked nice at a variety of MBCM levels, varying from about 10 to 30 -- I think it depends on the film and target size (1 or 2 cd) really.
Then again, after a year of using Nandub I still don't understand ALL the technical aspects fully, just what to touch and what NOT to touch ;)
cheers
