installing WDM by hand

I am trying to install WDM capture driver wihout result.
My TVcard is not detected automatically and I try to match
different card and tuners but picture is always distorted.
Maybe some one know what tuner and card should I select. TV systen
in my country is Pal_B and I want capture from 8mm Cannon camcoder.
Below I wrote down all names of chip on my TV card as well as types
of cards and tuner offered by installer.

I have myself a Terratec TV value card, and the installer didn't work for me either. Manual installation didn't cause any problems.

For manual installation, you have to open the .inf file that comes with the WDM driver in notepad or some other text editor. The driver comes with a text file containing installation instructions. Anyway, inside the inf file, there's a line containing "$1" that should be replaced with the hex code of your TV card model: 0x25. Similarly, there's a line for specifying your TV tuner: in your case probably 0x04. There's also two other lines that have to be modified. These lines are about the sound and FM tuner capabilities of your card.

Yes I have driver fom: http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/. I tried install by hand. The setting you suggest made picture distorted.

If you are running Win98SE, install the driver for Win2000. Its in the CD that comes with the card. It works for me. BTW I'm using the same TvTuner card.
