xmpeg 4.2 or xmpeg 4.5

I just have a curious question. I encode the same movie with the same setting using xmpeg 4.2a and xmpeg 4.5, The xmpeg 4.2 a is faster with aroung 43 fps for 1st pass of 2pass, while xmpeg 4.5 only do 20 fps. Is this normal.? quality is same but time is almost double.

I'm pretty sure that u didn't use the same settings(idct, resize or resolution) must differ,....coudl you plz do a little speed test just to be sure,..(at least for me Xmpeg4.2a and 4.5 give the same speed, with the same settings,or 4.5 is faster,.. tested it)

Thanks for your suggestion, I ran the test on both software, with exact setting, and the result came out about the same fps.
