Somehow my ac3 files got linked to teh ligos mpeg spliter so nwo they will not play in wmp, unless multiplexed in an avi then ti works properly.
how do i get them to deocde with the ac3 parser and intervideo decoder again without making seperate grahs.

I'm afraid this is not the first question regarding this topic, and I didn't get a really satisfying answer:
ACM codecs, for example, are relatively comparable to directshow filters: It is possible to have more than one codec to handle compression or decompression; to prefer one over the other, you can give one a higher priority than the other.
Unfortunately, for DirectShow filters it is not that easy. At least I couldn't find an easy way to define system-wide which filter to prefer over others. Only some media players are configurable to force the use of a specific filter in the graph (e.g. ZoomPlayer).
I really hope that someone can find a definitive solution to order similar filters, or you might have to un- and re-install those filters in the desired order.

The trick is to change the 'merit' of the DirectShowFilter in the windows setup. I remember you can do this by fiddling in the registry, but please sdont ask me what they corresponding keys are :D !
Another possibility might be by using Graphedit, i heard it it possible to change filter merit in there, but dont know how to do it.
