Is there any **simple** way to join two OGM files? I say, I could do it extracting audio to wav, joining, extracting video to avi, joining, and then muxing, and probably I would get sync problems at middle of the new file.

Anybody knows how to do it with graphedit or something like that?

Thanks

extract the audio files from your ogm files
then for audio file
copy /b 1.ogg+2.ogg final.ogg
or if you use a non windows system, you can just pipe it.

use vdub to join 2 video files.

finally use vdub to mux the audio with video.

does this method create a "legal" vorbis (audio)?

why don't you try it?

what you mean by legal anyways..

well, that's a method used for instance to join MPEGs by some users, in the case of MPEGs it screws the file: it's still playable on not-stric players but it'h hard to edit and in most editor you'll only get the first part (obviously this method doesn't create new headers, so the joined file headers are the first segment's ones).

I thought it's possible that with OGG something similar occurs, although it's loosely headered (how the f*** is it said? :p ) it could make an ilegal aka non-standard aka mostly-screwed file. Just guessing

I have tried the copy /b several times and it didn't work. Am still waiting for an easy way to join 2+ OGM's myself.

To open a second thread on this issue right above the first thread handling this is a forum rules violation in my eyes.
Consider yourself under observation.

You shouldn't abuse the peoples time here.

I just now read the other identical thread!

Koepi, it is cool that we both offer the same trick on join the ogg files without knowing.

ok, I understand koepi, sorry for that. It will happen no more. I didn't know well how the forum worked and didn't realized that with a reply the gora's thread came to first page. I only wanted the question of joining two OGM files alive. I really appreciate what people does here, and be for sure that I'm really happy that there is people who simply likes to make humanity progress with no desire of reward.

Sorry again :(

try with winamp ... simply load with in_vorbis plugin and with wave-diskwriter output ... then you can recompress it

maybe some quality will get lost but it surely produces a "legal" file
