I've ripped a 7,4 GB DVD movie with Smart Ripper and got 8 VOB files.
Tryied to encode with FlaskMpeg, but at 94%, it crashed.
It can be a lot of things, I guess. But I was specially thinking about this 8th VOB file...(that is very small)
Should I rip it again and change the settings?
Anyone could give me a tip?
It's a NTSC DVD, 29.97 fsp, 720x480, 2h22 length.
I use Windows ME, PIII 1GHz, 384 RAM, Video OffBoard 64M.
Thanx

Flask is known to be buggy and crappy.
Stop using it.
I would suggest you trying a Gknot or if you're more familiar with the tools you use, do it all step after step.
And the last vobs are usually smaller than the other ones (actually I haven't seen any of the last vobs to be as big as the other ones).
take care

a few months ago, i was ripping Escaflowne the Movie w/ subtitles, and i had the same problem at 23%, then i figure out that Flask wasn't the problem, but ifo file itself, so unless you need subtitle, don't use the ifo file.

Hey guys
Thanx for the tips. I'll try Gknot, next.
I ripped a smaller DVD movie (1h38), with the same settings and it was successfull ( yeaaahhhh :D I've got my first DVDrip Divx!!!).
I used Smart Ripper and FlaskMpeg cause it seemed to be easier to me.
And I was following Nicky's Guide. (some stuff was trial and error - it's NTSC...)
The other DVD (2h22) maybe is too big for FlaskMpeg, or maybe it's a little damaged (it's a little old)

I believe flask has trouble working with 7 or 8 vob files (or an ifo that points to 7 or 8) - but I can't remember the exact problem. (best to search for it)
