multi .ac3 after ripping with smart ripper 2.23

Hi , i was wondering if any one could tell me why after ripping "planet of the apes (new)" with smart ripper 2.23 in movie mode , and demuxing the vobs with dvd2avi (fron gknot) i get 3 ac3 files? the first seems like the normal one and two others of ( as i see it) different languges and bit rates ; well here are the names of the three files ( the save project name was "apes"):

apes AC3 T01 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY -88ms.ac3 315 mb
apes AC3 T03 2_0ch 192Kbps DELAY -88ms.ac3 157 mb
apes AC3 T04 2_0ch 96Kbps DELAY -88ms.ac3 78.9 mb

as you can see they seem to be differnet languages and bit rates , now i have used the first one as the main stream and "forgot" about the other two ( bad idea?)


any ideas?

You answered your own question. The other two are different lang and bitrate. Sometimes you will also run across Director commentary, etc. Some people like to put in multiple lang tracks or put the commentary back in also
